Our journey
murielle burellier
Murielle's yoga journey began in London in the early 90s, when she discovered an old yoga book in a second-hand store. This sparked a deep interest in the practice which led her to take regular classes over the years, experimenting with different styles such as Hatha, Iyengar and Prana Flow. She was certified as a yoga teacher in 2004 at the International Sivananda Vedanta Yoga Ashram.
After discovering Yin Yoga in London by attending a class with Sarah Powers in 2006, she took a longer course with Victor Chng in 2009. Since 2010, she has been studying with Paul and Suzee Grilley (founders of Yin Yoga) in Singapore, Kho Samui (Thailand) and California, deepening her understanding and practice of this style of yoga.
After studying Vajrayana Buddhism "The Way of the Diamond" for over 5 years in London, Murielle feels innately connected to the teachings of Buddha rather than to any particular school, adopting the practice of Yin Yoga to implement her aspiration and search on the spiritual path. Her approach is gentle and compassionate, focusing on the breath, letting go and letting be, which embraces so well the essence of Yin Yoga practice.
She has also studied prenatal yoga and offers a safe class environment to bring a sense of well-being and connection during this important transitional period of motherhood. Based between South-East Asia and Europe, Murielle has been teaching for several years in various yoga venues to students from all walks of life, and co-teaches with Sebastian at all the different yoga events.

Having begun studying yoga in 1994, his personal journey began with Ashtanga, Hatha and Yin Yoga. Over the past three decades, Sebastian has practiced martial arts, shiatsu, yoga and meditation, refining and stabilizing his research into the study of Yin Yoga as a foundation to support and promote a holistic lifestyle. By combining the Western anatomical approach with meridian theory, the practice of Yin Yoga becomes a genuine therapeutic system.
Discovering Yin Yoga in London with Sarah Powers in 2006 at the Triyoga studio, Sebastian was inspired to integrate a more contemplative and meditative spirit into his postural yoga practice. Returning to the roots of Yin Yoga practice, Sebastian met Paul and Suzee Grilley (founders of Yin Yoga) in 2010. He became their assistant and continues to study with them to benefit from their high-quality teachings.
His teaching is enriched by 8 years' experience as a body therapist (qualified Shiatsu practitioner) and martial arts instructor (Ni-Dan in Taido, a Japanese martial art), as well as a particular interest in Qi Gong and the internal Chinese arts. The study of Buddhism and classical yoga texts is another major influence on his teaching, bringing yoga down to a psycho-spiritual system.
Since 2002, his main enthusiasm has been the practice of Vipassana meditation (Goenka style) and Samatha meditation ( Ayya Khema method - Pak Auk Sayadaw) also known as pacification of the mind(Leigh Brasington - Tina Rasmussen and Stephen Snyder), as well as the exploration of Shamatha meditation from a Tibetan Buddhist approach, with practices such as establishing the mind in its natural state or Awareness of Perception(Alan Wallace).
