Yin Yoga - Anatomy & Functional Approach
Training Module: 50 Hours - Language: English 🇬🇧
From 12 to 18 may 2025
Join us for this immersive 50-hour training module to redefine your approach to yoga through the key notions of the functional approach and skeletal variations.
We share with you new tools to apply, such as the 10 myofascial compartments targeting the legs and torso and the 14 skeletal segments to define areas of tension and compression.
So that you can engage in the 7 archetypal poses and their variations, which will suit the needs of all practitioners.
This immersive week will delve into the anatomy of yoga practice by drawing a map of the body and classifying the human anatomy into compartments and targeted areas. The result is a methodology created by Paul and Suzee Grilley, founders of the Yin Yoga approach, called 14 / 10 / 7.
This will initially enable practitioners to develop a refined sense of interoception, enabling them to define and link each sensation of tension and compression to targeted areas. This understanding enables us to adapt each posture to our morphology and teach the practice while considering each practitioner's subjectivity.
We will provide you with a manual to accompany our teaching
We will share these concepts with you using stunning visuals, presentations and slideshows, giving visual support to this functional approach.
While learning this functional approach, we simultaneously share with you the narrative and qualities of this inner practice. In addition to the anatomical and mechanical understanding of the body, this methodology/pedagogy, known as the functional approach, frees us completely from the dogma of the ideal pose. This approach gives power back to the practitioner by organising and emphasising the importance of interoception (perception of the body's internal state).
We would be delighted to have you on board. 🙏
